2026 Licensed Instructor Training
Grandmaster Sam Chin invites all licensed instructors to a focused Instructor Training session from August 2 through August 8. This week-long intensive is designed to raise instructional skill, deepen application of the Six Physical Points and Three Mental States, and strengthen your ability to reliably pass the Art of Awareness to your students. You may also join later as some international students may still be here training, please reach out first.
Purpose
Elevate teaching proficiency so instructors can more effectively cultivate balance and awareness in their students.
Reinforce movement from the center and the practical integration of the system’s principles.
Create a supportive cohort of instructors who can grow the art responsibly and consistently.
Who should attend
Licensed instructors in good standing who wish to develop their skill, pedagogical, and leadership abilities within the system.
Format and content highlights
Daily practical training emphasizing core principles and common teaching challenges.
Partner drills, application work, and refined hands-on correction methods.
Personal evaluation, feedback, and mentoring from Grandmaster Sam Chin.
Investment and registration
Grandmaster Sam Chin wishes instructors to benefit regardless of financial circumstance; therefore this session will be donation based.
Suggested guideline donations will be available, but all instructors are welcome to participate regardless of ability to contribute.

Grandmaster Chin’s intent is clear: to strengthen our instructors so the Art of Awareness can be taught with clarity, neutrality, and integrity. We encourage all licensed instructors who are committed to that aim to attend.
GM Sam Chin's 72nd Birthday Celebration (August 1st): The celebration will take place on Saturday, August 1st, featuring a late lunch/early dinner (tentatively planned at Spring Shabu Shabu). For those arriving early by August 1st and hope to join us, please let us know! You’ll receive notification on the exact time and confirmed location once you register.
